Words/phrases we use when we explain what the term clean means:-
  • free from dirt or impurities; or having clean habits; "clean white shirts"; "clean dishes"; "a spotlessly clean house"
  • free from anything that dulls or dims; "clear reds and blues"
  • free from impurities; "clean water"; "fresh air"
  • ritually clean or pure
  • not spreading pollution or contamination; especially radioactive contamination;
  • make clean by removing dirt, filth, or unwanted substances
  • remove unwanted substances
  • houseclean: clean and tidy up the house; "She housecleans every week"
  • cleanse
  • be cleanable; "This stove cleans easily"
  • remove while making clean; "Clean the spots off the rug"
  • fresh, with no discernible defects; refers to aroma, appearance and flavor.
  • having no off-odors or off-tastes.
  • opposite of dirty.
  • free from dirt or pollution
  • relatively free from error or blemish
  • to make clean: as to rid of dirt, impurities, or extraneous matter
  • to make clean or orderly.
  • to make oneself clean, neat, or presentable
